Guest Speaker on the Marlow FM Business Show!

Last week, we had the chance to join as a co-guest with David Horne for Season 4 Episode 31 of the Marlow FM business show (Marlow FM 97.5).

We spoke about a lot of interesting updates about our businesses alongside some trending topics. Starting off with a conversation reminiscing the nostalgic excitement of running in the rain, maybe it will force us to enjoy the rainy weather we’re currently having. 

Marlow was intrigued to know about the growth of White Communications over the last year or so. We were so excited to share that we’re facing a rapid and exciting journey, with more and more clients trusting our services! Since the pandemic began, a lot of businesses have been forced to transform from in-person sales to online channels, and that’s where we come in specifically to help all our clients develop their online presence and media strategy to stand out from others.  

Our co-guest David Horne followed by talking about the manner of digital things and the development specifically in the hospitality sector as the functionality of websites become more functional. With a unique song choice of “She’s Lost Control”! David’s chosen topic was discussing the step that HSBC is testing:  a zoom free Friday afternoon to help the work-life balance of employees, would you be down to try a zoom free Friday? 

Followed by my song choice of “lovely day” a classic that really suited the mental health awareness week, it’s got a great uplifting message to it! (Would really recommend listening). We moved onto discussing the year 2020 and its opportunities (a good note about the year!) Statistics claimed that amidst the pandemic, there was a massive start-up growth with 770,000 UK businesses coming through this year, presenting a  30% increase in 2019. Managing many small businesses myself, It was insightful to discuss the idea behind this, alongside how many of these businesses will survive and the impacts it might have on competitors. 

Our last topic of the evening was around the idea trialled by a company where colleagues choose your salaries, it’s definitely a hot topic providing different additions of democracy and transparency in the business world.  What do you think? Would you be joining this idea?
